In the last 25 years, the elections systems appear to become more efficient and more accessible with live reporting by the media outlets. However, the reality is more of the processes, and most importantly, the protections, have been moved from local offices to centralized 3rd party businesses that are not beholden to citizens.
The transition of power to these 3rd party companies largely happened without any public referendum or debate. You can make the argument that our legislatures are watching over the processes, but in the end, the elections need to be both transparent and fair so the people can trust them.

Bring Transparency & Understanding to Elections
Managing elections and ensuring they are authentic is no small task. The average person can quickly become overwhelmed. Â But first and foremost there should be nothing hidden in our elections. As citizens, we should be able to evaluate every step and fully understand what is happening and why. We want to make that process both transparent and easy to understand.
We created the Election Integrity Academy to help teach how modern elections work and some of the blind spots that could be taken advantage of.
